This weekend I decided to do one more tweak on the filters with
Spectrogram in order to get them all at the same pitch...The computer was
off and the K2 was on, and I reached behind the K2 and plugged in my test
cable...The K2 immediately went into "key-down" and the displayed "high
current"...I shut it off and checked to see what was wrong...Being
preoccupied, I had plugged the test cable, which should have been plugged
into the speaker jack, into the key jack...If the other end of the cable
had been plugged into the computer's sound card, I probably would have
lost an expensive Sound Blaster MP-3 card...As an old friend who was
master of the malaprop would have said, a word to the wise is
"efficient"... ;^)
