I hope not!!

Whole point of SMT is fast, low cost automated assembly. Repair-rework-manual 
assembly is not really considered. Yes, it CAN be done, if you have the 
skills, tools and dexterity, but the idea of building an SMT-based "K#" isn't 
very attractive. 

Open up your computer (if it's less than a few years old) and look at the 
video adapter, modem, motherboard, etc. You know anybody who fixes computer 
boards?  With a few exceptions, they're considered components - if a video 
card goes bad, you toss it and get another.
