[Elecraft] K2 1781 filter alignment

I have carefully aligned the IF filters a number of times with
Spectrogram. It is absolutely wonderful when first done but over a
period of time it drifts out of alignment - ie the wanted signal is
either no longer in the centre of the filter passband or is actually
outside the passband in relation to the BFO frequency. Any suggestions
please ?  What is drifting ?

A further question. The PA is always stable when the power contol limits
the output to 10 watts. However on most bands it is capable of putting
out a few watts more. But if I turn the power to maximum the PA appears
to become unstable. This is evidenced by the keying suddenly becoming
very clicky. It doesn't do it on all bands. For example I can run 15
watts out on 40m with no problems but if I try the same on 30m I have
the instability problems. Any helpful suggestions apart from keeping the
power at 10 watts ?
