[Elecraft] Low output with mh-2

Hello All

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing what I would term low rf
output on ssb. Even when runnung 4 to 1 compression I can barely get 25
watts out when speaking in a normal voice. KPA100 is making good output on
all bands in cw mode.
  Audio quality sounds good in another reciever , just not satisfied with rf
power out?  Could the tracking ALC be the culprit? Even with KPA100 disabled
I am only seeing 1 to 2 watts on ssb transmit.
  At times I like to drive my Dentron amp with the K2 but 25 watts is barely
enough. I am using a Diawa peak reading meter for all measurements. My other
hf rigs ( which will remain nameless   hi hi  ) all output the expected 60
to 80 watts.

Any Ideas?
