[Elecraft] Monitoring RF Outout

Some time ago when tuning my Rev A K2 for the first time, a friend suggested
that in addition to using the K2s internal wattmeter, I could monitor the
output of the RF Output Detector (R66) with the analogue display on my Fluke
DMM. I did this, and found that I seemed to have a bit more sensitivity in
making tuning adjustments. I also found this easier than using an external
wattmeter - at the time I was at the local club and we didn't have one!
Also, I didn't have the Noise Blanker installed - which tends to obscure R66
once it is. I've since noticed in the Rev B manual that the circuit diagram
around the RF Output Detector has changed slightly and now looks like there
may be a test pad there but I do not have a Rev B board to check - there is
no additional information in the new manual. So, my questions are:

1) Is there general agreement that this is another valid way of getting a
tuning indicator?
2) What would be the formula to convert the voltage measured at R66 into
Watts?
