Hi Ron & others!=20
Please see info below about what I did for the definite lack of air=20
flow within the K2/100. I did not want to use any external fans. Drift is=20
still around 60 Hz but not really noticeable to other=20
stations..............................................................

Hello to All!=20
I was able to find some aluminum screen gutter mesh at Sears hardware=
.=20
I cut the mesh to fit the K2 area between the KPA100 heat sink and the K2=20
front panel. This replaces the solid metal front cover plate that comes wit=
h=20
the KPA100. I painted this mesh with black enamel paint. It looks good and=
=20
provides better air flow. =20
It looks like my normal drift is around 100Hz without any external=20
cooling fan. I=20
will continue to monitor drift. This may be as good as it gets. =20
I have not had any comments from stations about drift either on CW or=
=20
SSB. I=20
think that we may be expecting a miracle if we want to see much less that 10=
0=20
Hz drift with the KPA100.=20

PS. I am certain that Eric & Wayne are working on this drift problem!=20
