Fw: [Elecraft] PLL/BFO Stability Mod

The quote below isn't quite correct... sorry. It should say:
"The new procedure is done only on 40 meters-- it does not have to be
repeated on each band."

It later says, in Setp 3...
"Switch to 40 meters. You do not need to set the VFO to a specific
frequency; it can be anywhere in the band."

| The Installation and Reference Manual for Version 2 Firmware, Rev A, June
| 14, 2001, states:
| "The new procedure is done only on 40 meters-- it can be anywhere in the
| band."

| |
| | The rev D manual (>3000 K2s) says the "d" is shown when the
| | CPU stores the calibration data from CAL PLL, so it's not
| | a problem. I guess they put that in so you wouldn't think
| | nothing was happening while waiting for several minutes!
| |
| | I did not get an answer yet about whether CAL PLL should
| | be done on 7100.10, or if it is now anywhere from 7000-7100.
| | I know I calibrated mine (31xx serial) on 7000 and I don't
| | experience the glitches.
