Yes, Bob, the d is normal. Exactly what it means, I am not sure, but it
acts like it is indicating the completion (perhaps "done") of some subphase
of the process. I also get the little 5KHz 'glitches' but they are very
mild and are not present everywhere. I've never found them a concern. I
suspect that is simply part of the nature of the way the VCO works, in 5KHz
segments.
