[Elecraft] PLL/BFO Stability Mod

Several reported glitches every 5kHz after doing this mod. I did also,
and on further checking found that the range of the PLL Reference
Oscillator was reduced from its original 15kHz to 11.3kHz. This was
below what Elecraft expected for a minimum range. My solution was to
re-install the original two xtals and remove the 1.8K resistor from RP2.
Now, I have a range of over 20kHz (NOTE: 5 more than the original
range!) and still have frequency jumps on odd freqs.
I did the CAL PLL with VFO set to 7100.10. During the VFO
linearization, the display flashed a "d" on the right every few seconds.
What is the significance of the "d" - I see no mention of it in the
manual and suspect it may indicate an error of some sort, especially
since I'm still experiencing glitches.
Anybody else played with this after having installed the "stability" mod?

Further notes: Yes, I DID remove the resistor that was added for the mod
and checked RP2. Pins 7-8 are 10K.
I left the BFO mod with the new toroid since it should not affect the PLL.
