[Elecraft] FYBO: Fun from Burbank...

I just turned 40. Been a ham for about eight years. I've read all the CW
stories, the military and maritime stories and I'll NEVER complain about
them. Not that I necessarily want to choke up the list, but there is more
wisdom and experience than you could possibily imagine behind those
stories. When you decide to really get down and dirty you'll be
clammering for some of this data -- "how did they do it?", "how is it that
they got so good?", "why did this evolve this way?" -- are all questions
that you'll never be able to answer if you don't let this data accumulate
in the archives.

If "swapping stories" keeps the real long-time ops here and listening and
interacting with the list, then it's a big plus in my books.

Perhaps it's OT and perhaps not. QRP and CW go hand in hand. CW's
history and the period during which it was "la mode de force" should be of
interest to all ops who want to become really competent, in my very humble
opinion. I'm a lid on CW by self-admission, but the stories and the quest
for excellence keeps me interested and working at it.

Read the first para, and if you don't want to read further, then hit the
delete key.

But don't deny the archives.

My $0.02 worth. Carry on, gentlemen.
