Hi,

I am need of a small, battery powered 20 meter transmitter for use as a 
test device which I can attach to the feed point of an antenna, hoist it 
up, read the field strength, then retrieve it.  It needs to have a power 
level of .5 to 1 watts, xtal control and battery powered with a few AA 
cells or a preferably a 9v battery. I don't want to go for a K1, as it is 
too much and too heavy.  Does anyone have one for sale, know of an 
inexpensive kit or have a good schematic in mind?   I'm trying to 
investigate the field strength of an EH antenna with various lengths of 
feed lines starting with zero.  My antenna analyzer doesn't have enough 
power to be read even on an amplified field strength meter.

Yes Virginia, an EH antenna works.  I'm trying to find out why.
