[Elecraft] K1 Mojo (K1 #1499 on the air)

Hi,

Everyone here talks about the K2 Mojo, but, if I understand the word "Mojo"
correctly, K1 also has it's own Mojo. :-)

Two nights ago, when I finished the RX part of the RF board (including the
VFO toroid), I attached the antenna (20 m long wire 6m over the ground, end
fed with 10:1 balloon and then 25 m of RG 58 coax), and scanned the 40 m
band *before* any band-module board tuning! I was simply shocked with what
I've heard - a dozen of W (east coast) stations with quite strong signals!

After I quickly tuned the band-module board, those same W stations were all
over S9. This little rig is wonderful!
