Quite often the resolution of the readout causes people to believe
that the meter is accurate to that degree. Most often this is not the
case. The resolution gives good short-term repeatability of the
measurement but it does not give an absolute accuracy to that point. A
case in point is many of the newer transceivers that read out to 1 Hz
while the specified accuracy over temperature is often +/- 100 Hz or
more.
