I got a used K2 recently (#917) & after this weekend's contest, I have some
questions.

I can turn the RF gain down to nothing & still hear very strong CW signals.
(This is with the pre-amp and AGC both off, and the volume around 11 AM; and
by strong signals I mean CW contesters more than 1000 miles away.) Is that
normal?

I can hear hissing or buzzing--which at its strongest is readable CW--from
very strong signals that are more than 5kHz away. I noticed this during the
contest on 40, 20, 15, and 10M with the bandwidth as narrow as 800 hz. Is
that normal?

Finally, if the rig needs to be looked at I don't have the skill to do the
work. Do any of you know of someone in the Twin Cities area who might be
able to work on a K2?
