[Elecraft] Use Of Lead bender?

HI:

Just getting started building my K2 and I had some "tooling" questions. 

Does anybody use a lead bender to bend the leads to the "exact" spacing
prior to the insertion on the board?

If so, any suggestions as to mfg. & model number?

Where to purchase?

Approximate cost?

(the special adjustable pliers are a little too "pricey" I just use needle
nose now)

Any other non ordinary tools that you can suggest (I have nut drivers, TC
solder station, screwdrivers etc.)?
