Hi Gil,

The St L menu option allows you to set the volume of the sidetone and spot
tone.

Mine was pretty loud too, I had to set it to about 4 or 5 initially.  Then
to improve the sound of the sidetone, I added a 150K resistor in series with
C24 and put a 0.022uf across RP7 pins 7 and 8. This greatly reduces the
harmonics from the sidetone and reduces it's level some. Now I set St L to
about 20.
