Jeri called a few minutes ago with an update on Tom's condition. The
news is much better! He was moved from a local hospital to a larger one
at the Univ of MO in Columbia.

Tom underwent surgery yesterday at the Columbia, MO facility. A twist in
his small intestine was discovered and the affected section
removed/repaired. In addition, his Oncologist, Cardiologist and
Urologist have all seen him and the consensus is that the intestinal
twist (and resulting blockage) was the sole problem.  His prognosis is
excellent, and, as is characteristic of Tom, he's bouncing right back.
Plan is to wean him off the respirator soon.

Jeri thinks that Tom will be at the hospital for a while (1-2 weeks) so
