[Elecraft] Heil HMM-K and K2

I currently use the MH2 with my QRP K2, and I'm very satisfied with its
performance. I have another K2, in which I will install the KPA100. I am
considering the purchase of the Heil dual element HMM-K (wired for Kenwood)
for use with my 100W K2 (as well as with my SGC2020ADSP). I've checked the
reflector, and from what I've read, the jumpering for the MH2 (straight
across) is compatible with Kenwood wired mics.

But according to the KSB2 manual (at least for the Kenwood mic models
listed):, "Do not connect pin 5 unless mic has internal preamp. Touch-tone
ICs may be sensitive to stray RF. CAUTION: 5V goes to pin 5, not pin 6 (not
straight across). Leave pin 6 of the mic unconnected." Can someone clear
this up for me?
