The enamel insulation coating the wire of the L33 is pretty tough. 
Secondly, the only real concern might be the leads of the 5M resistor 
shorting out two ADJACENT toriodal inductor turns (and this would be very 
remote) due to the enamel of BOTH adjacent leads having broken down. The 
fact that a 5M resistor was used pretty much means that it will have no 
electrical effect upon the toroidal inductor even if it did happen to short 
to single turns on either side of the inductor.
