It sounds as if the K1 Transmit frequency was not set  or not set =
properly.
If you have access to the Internet the K1 manual can be downloaded from
www.elecraft.com (Manual Downloads button) and the directions for =
setting
this are on page 47 "Transmit Offset Alignment." This, as explained, may
require re-calibration of the Transmit frequency display (Page 41).  If =
you
do not have access to the Internet I can send you PDF copies of these =
pages.
