[Elecraft] KX1 #306 hits the ground running!

Greetings all:

   KX1 #306 arrived on Christmas day and 15 or so happy hours have been =
spent assembling this really neat little radio.  No hitches were =
encountered, except the final resistance test indicated very low =
resistance from the collector of the output transistor Q6 to ground.  =
Further inspection disclosed a metal burr which the mounting screw had =
apparently rasped off the edge of the hole (the edges are very thin on =
the inner side of the panel.  With the chip of metal removed, everything =
measured within limits with the PC board mounted onto the front panel.  =
Overall, the kit went together very well and the instructions were =
extremely explicit and easy to follow.

   This radio is going to be a lot of fun!  I can hear everything that I =
can hear on the FT-1000MP, and while I was listening around above 20m, =
my Pactor MBO start going with all its 100w on 14.112Mhz, and I could =
just barely tell it was running while listening to the KX1.

   Now to build the options.....:<)
