I built my KFL1-4 for 40/30/20/15 meters. I then re-built my old 40/20
meter two-band board for the other two "official" K1 bands, 80/17 meters.
The two-band filter PCB is very high quality, so it was easy to remove the
old components and install the new in about an hour. My re-built board
looks better than it did originally. You can get two-band board parts kits
from Elecraft for about $8 per band, IIRC. These kits have the capacitors,
toroid cores, and crystal, but for some strange reason they do NOT include
the wire for winding the toroids.
The K1 automatically senses if a two-band or a four-band board is installed.
Also, the K1 MCU stores a LCD frequency calibration factor for each HF band,
regardless of if a filter board for that band is currently installed. You
can swap back and forth between the two-band and the four-band boards, and
once you re-assign b1 and b2 to the appropriate band, the proper calibration
factor will be applied for the band.
So that would take care of one of your boards. They don't have much re-sale
value, but maybe someone else who wishes to to have capability on the two
bands their four-band K1 doesn't cover will contact you.
