Dave,

I agree with the comments that no glue or dope is needed for the
toroids....but if you absolutely must.....a drop or two of beeswax will work
well and can be easily undone if necessary to make adjustments to wire
spacing. Easiest and least messy way to use it is place a very small sliver
on the toroid and lightly brush with tip of soldering iron.
