[Elecraft] Attaching ground wires to KX1 crystals

If it's of any use to other builders, here's my low-tech method for 
affixing the ground wires to the crystals in the KX1. Lay the  crystal on a 
flat surface and push it into the edge of the black foam that the ICs were 
shipped in. Compress the foam a little to make it the same height as the 
crystal. This makes a stable base to hold and align the ground wire.Take a 
scrap lead from a resistor and make a 90" bend about 1/8" inch from one end 
and(after positioning it where it belongs), press it down into the foam, 
placing the other end about 3/16"over the lower flange of the crystal, then 
bend the end so it touches the body. Tack the wire to the crystal body and 
then use a small screwdriver blade to hold it in place while making the 
final solder joint and to secure it until it cools.YMMV.
