[Elecraft] K1 DDS VFO Retrofit?

I'll have to read the stuff at the NJ website.  But it seems changing a 
varacter tuned rig into a DDS tuned rig would be a bit of a challenge.  
And birdies could be a major issue.

The KX1 is an Elecraft DDS tuned rig.  You might want to use it -- and 
how it compares to the K1 circuity -- for guidance.

Mostly, I would wait for a Wayne input before getting too enthusiastic 
about the K1 DDS conversion :-)
