[Elecraft] SSB Tx audio on K2

Tweak, tweak and mo' tweak.......

Well, after doing the ki6wx mic-gain mods, using the Elecraft Heil hand mic 
and lot's of tweaking the bandpass with the aid of Spectrograph software I'm 
now getting really nice compliments on my K2 Tx audio - comparable to my 
ICOM 751A transceiver!! This wasn't always so, so lesson learned.....ya gota 
take some time and effort to do some serious tweaking of the SSB K2 system 
to get good Tx audio. Following the Elecraft manual to set up the KSB2 
filters don't get it.....

The KI6WX mods, in my opinion, should be be standard offer on all new KSB2 
boards from Elecraft -- and during construction of the SSB board, kit 
builders should be given the option of which filter bandwith they desire, 
wider for more HI-FI or narrower for more DX punch....or, be able to select 
either bandwith under software control.
