[Elecraft] K2 VCO Problem

I want to thank all who responded to my call for help with the VCO =
shutting down on 160, 80, and 40m. The problem has been resolved and my =
K2 now K2/100 is working very well thank you! An e-mail from DL6RS, =
Josef had the same problem and found the cure.  I implemented his method =
and everything is fine now.
For others that may run into the same problem as I, with the VCO =
shutting down after a about 1 hour of receive only on the K2 with KPA100 =
installed on the K2 case, and then with the K2/100 placed on the =
KAT100-1. I at first felt it was a temp. problem, but it appears to have =
been an ferromagnetic influence oft the steel tilt stand when it is in =
up position. Removing the tilt stand solved the problem and the VCO will =
lock on when switching from  a higher band (30)m or above back to 40, =
80, or 160.  =20
