[Elecraft] Reasonable KAT100 control cable length?

I'm planning to operate moble with my K2. I'm building the KAT100 =
tuner/amp in an EC2 enclosure, as I want to keep my K2 as a QRP setup. =
My antenna is a High Sierra screwdriver. My initial thought is to mount =
the amp/tuner in the trunk, with the K2 placed on my dash. I will need a =
15 feet length of control cable and wondered, is this a reasonable =
length? The tuner came with a 2 foot length of cable leading me to =
believe that there are signaling limitations on the distance between the =
K2 and tuner/amp.

If a 15 foot cable length is too long, the next mounting location for =
the amp/tuner is under the drivers seat. I worry about the dusty =
conditions that amp/tuner would be exposed to under the seat.  Are =
others running the K2 mobile? Ideas wouild be appreciated.
