[Elecraft] K2 Strange vfo tuning on Tx

Gangue,

I was using my K2 a sa  signal source the other day and I noticed a funny
thing....

With the K2 in tx and connected to a dummy load, if I tune the vfo control
it seems to behave very erratically. It seems to tune very much slower than
normal and the freq display misses some tuning steps.

I cannot figure out why this should be so. Is this normal?
