[Elecraft] KX1 Operating From A Semi-prone Position

Well, others have tried it, so I thought I would too.  Woke up last night 
with a "stuffy" head, so took a pill and waited for it to resolve my problem.  My 
feedline is just outside our bedroom door, so grabbed it, worked it around 
the bed (very quietly), hooked up the KX1, and tuned to 40 meters.  Lotsa stuff 
going on.  Had a nice QSO with VK3IM who gave me a 469 (the "4" was due to 
QRM).  For 3 watts and an R7 vertical I considered it a big success.  I even used 
one of Dennis Foster's Micro paddles.  Used the LED too!  

Next I worked KL7J in Alaska.  Not as good a report, but solid copy I think.  
"Field testing" has taken on a whole new level of comfort!
