[Elecraft] Two K2's for split operation

The ultimate -two K2's tied together. Stacked K2's. It even sounds good.
Glad to hear software is being developed to do that part of the program.
There still needs to be some hardware mods to do this. Need to bring out the
receive line (2 jacks) and a mute line to the back of the rig. This way you
can listen off of the same antenna with both rigs or separate antennas on
each rig. When transmitting on the one rig the other rig is muted, if you
want the mute. This protects your ears and the radio If the rigs are on
different bands, you probably don't want the mute functioning. Actually
there are times when on the same band you don't want muting on the second
rig. An example of this is when you are using a beverage or other antenna on
one rig to look for mults while running with the other rig on the same band.
Tie this in with a box to give you stereo reception - one rig in each ear.

Looked briefly at the schematic. Looks doable. Need the time to do it
though.

If I could tie two K2's together, you could have true SO2R. When I travel to
other locations, I could take one K2 with me while the other K2 stays hooked
up.

Next thing with the software is not even need the K2's in the same shack.
They could be downstairs with my Acom 2000a. All I have in the shack for the
Acom is the Remote Control Unit.
