Hi Bob - thanks for the input and also for the QSO in the 10M contest last
weekend. I use Top Ten boxes to drive a WX0B Six Pak for antenna switching
but it looks like the Elecraft box would do that function and more. I've
gotten hooked using a Ten Tec Orion for low band stuff - using one receiver
for listening to the Beverages and one for listening on the transmit antenna
and find that this diversity mode is VERY effective. And just ordered a new
board for the Top Ten Box that utilizes the Orion's band decode's directly.
But I might order the Elecraft decoder for my second station since it
supports Yaesu radios and could be used with either the K2 or my FT1000D
which we often use in QRO contests - using the subreceiver to pick off
mults...
How much fussing would it take to share a K2 and the FT1000D off the same
band decoder? The notion would be to have a switch on the serial lines
and not have to do alot to be quickly on the air with either radio.
Whatcha think?
