Hi, John-

Before I got the KPA100, I used my K2 barefoot with a relatively meager wire
antenna and counterpoise with good result on top band. Lately, I have been
using the external key jack on the back of the KPA100 to key a 50 watt
Johnson Ranger on 160 meters and have had plenty of contacts.
