[Elecraft] 2-D fasteners

A variation on the Elecraft "2-D"s that I've used for 40 years is made =
from
sections of 1/4-inch aluminum angle available from the local hardware =
store.
It is easily drilled/tapped for 6-32 (or other size) screws. Just drill =
a
hole through the panel and the angle underneath, then tap the angle =
section.
Run a larger drill through the panel hole to provide "clearance" for the
screw and you're all ready to go. The only tools needed are a hacksaw,
drills and the appropriate tap.=20

On rare occasions where I want a really "RF-tight" enclosure with =
excellent
conductivity all along the seams I run the angle stock the length of =
each
seam, but for most work short sections with one or two screw-holes for =
each
side of the enclosure is quite adequate.=20
