Bill,

This was the method we used for sulphated automotive batteries.  It had a=
 low
success rate.  =


1- Discharge the battery through a high current load until almost "flat".=


2- Quick charge cycle for 20 minutes.

3 - Repeat steps 1 and 2, then step 1.

4 - Finally, slow charge the battery at ~10% capacity rate for 1 - 1 1/2
hours.

I believe the intent was to disolve the sulphate deposits that were causi=
ng
shorts between the plates.  The deep discharge cycles were suppose to dro=
p the
SG enough to allow this.  Like I said, it wasn't a "sure cure" method!
