[Elecraft] OT to the Max: HTs for the Visually Impaired

A friend (N4WM) in AL wants to find a VHF/UHF HT for a visually
impaired ham in Paso Robles, CA.

The KX1 came to mind, but it does not do FM, much less VHF/UHF. And I
am not familiar with the current HT market. I do know that my HT
(VX-5R) is not in that category; in fact the ones I'm aware of generally
require frequent reference to the manual -- not good for this fellow
(whose call I don't know, by the way).

I suggested he call HRO and AES (800 numbers) and see what they say.

Does anyone here know of any HTs in this category or an on line resource
I can refer my friend to?

73, Phil
