I have a Astron VS35M that I've had for many years.  Haven't used it for =
my K2 (not finished, yet), but have used it for powering an ICOM-IC746 =
and a number of speciality battery chargers for my R/C models (on 6M).

I find it well regulated and rippple-free (acceptably ripple-free).

There are some (German) battery chargers that specifically admonish the =
user to NOT use a 117VAC:12VDC PS as the ripple causes them to trip on a =
false peak. Instructions are for use only with a battery on a float.

The Astron works fine on these critical chargers. Directly.

I can see no reason why they wouldn't be just as effective on a K2.
