I beleive that I have seen postings saying that some users were using a 
W3EDP with the
internal K1 tuner.  I have a K1-4  with the tuner but so far I have 
only used it with coax
fed antennas with SWR in the range of 2:1 to 5:1 and have found that 
the internal
tuner does a good juob of knocking the swr down to 1:1.
