Ian,

When you open up Cp, is that at the end or the beginning of the SSB
filter in rx mode? 
In case it's at the end of the filter, it would imply that the BFO
signal enters after the filter.

The KSB2 filter schematic doesn't give away its secrets at a casual
glance, but I get the impression that the signals are run different ways
for rx and tx, but I'm not sure.
