Easy:

1) Log what you've copied
2) Send in your log (if it's a contest)

Doesn't a valid QSO involve COPYING the other guy's call correctly, on the
air, during the contest (if it's a contest)?

From the sound of the cluster pileups last weekend, I think there were a lot
of other people  who had no idea who they were "working" most times.
Unsettling to be reading a thread on "post-QSO confirmation" tactics now.
