[Elecraft] KX1 VFO Probs

Howzit,

 

At alignment and test - stage 1, everything seems to work, except
turning the VFO knob doesn't do anything.  Pressing the built in button
works.

 

The Troubleshooting section mentions the VFO being locked, if I press
RIT and 10/100, I get alternately LOC or UnL, but same results either
way.  I have checked solder joints on the VFO encoder and all seems
fine.  What else should I check?  If the encoder is fine, could this be
a logic problem somewhere else?
