That's turned up before since I built my K2 several years ago. It seems =
that
in shipment if the box is bounced from enough height, the weight of the
speaker magnet is sufficient to bend the frame and make the voice coil =
rub.=20
I fixed mine by putting a large flat-blade screwdriver between the edge =
of
the magnet and turning it to bend the magnet up slightly. By trying =
various
places around the perimeter, bending it slightly but not enough to make =
the
bend permanent, I found a place where the fuzziness in the sound =
suddenly
disappeared. Twisting a little harder at that point 'set' the bend
permanently fixed it and the speaker has been fine ever since.=20
Of course it might happen again if I drop my K2 from a height a few
meters... but at that point the speaker would be the least of my worries
<G>.
