I Also have a PRO2 but Unlike W5YR I find that my K2 easily outperforms it
for CW reception under difficult conditions, especially under crowded
contest conditions or on the low bands.
There are plenty of occasions when I can hear stuff on the K2 that I can't
hear nearly as well on the pro2. I have matrix Switching on my antennas so
it is really easy to try both radios on the same antenna. This is a
demonstration I gladly provide for Shack visitors!
My K2 has had pretty much all the mods done and I have aligned it very
carefully using good test equipment so it is performing about as well as a
K2 can.

My main observation is that, yes the PRO2 has tighter filters with much
better skirts BUT I also hear more Junk on the PRO2 when things get
crowded, when things aren't crowded you don't need the tight filters anyway.

The PRO2 is a good receiver and certainly has nice features. For SSB the
PRO2 is better than the K2 but since I mainly operate CW the K2/100 is now
the primary rig in this shack since if you can't hear them you can't work
them.

I also hate the Full break in keying on the pro2 but that's another story.
