[Elecraft] Power level displays when K2 VFO turns?

I don't use the keyer & have for no real reason had the speed knob
full anti-clockwise.  Just for fun, I turned the rig on & gave that a twist,
then the VFO a twirl after the speed display went away & interestingly,
within a moment or two the speed display showed up as I used the VFO.

Then gave the power control a tweak & back to the VFO after the
power display went away - again, a random power display after a
short period of tuning around.

After that - or perhaps one more go at the speed control - I then thought
I should try to wait at least one extra of these one second periods the
display works on before using the VFO after the random display goes
away & couldn't get anything to display other than the VFO as I tuned.

Try to repeat process that previously consistently replicated these
speed/power displays as I tuned & no luck.  It's gone.  Is it that it's
warmed up a tad? As noted by others, this also happens when rig is up
to temperature (probably much more in my case) & has been in use for a
while.

Another thing I've noticed is that after one of these phantom displays
happens, if you then start tuning in the opposite direction, it often
will happen again.
