Thanks all who had some tips to fix my problem with the first power on test.

I removed the main control chip, then reseated it again.  Then touched up
the pins from the RF board to the FP board.

All is well now.  I think the culprit though was the chip was not seated
just right.  Most of the voltage checks were off as were the voltages to
some of the transistors on the CB.  All the front panel control tests check
out now.

CUL and hope I won't have to bother you all too much more..hihi.
