Don is correct that this method introduces another source of error.
However, I found that when I have things calibrated close I can do the
zero-beat in CW and switch to LSB and be less than 20 Hz off.  This makes it
much easier to complete the LSB signal adjustment.  Using spectrogram is a
good choice for doing this.
