Remember John, this is an alignment procedure. You can't count on the BFO's
being set up right yet. So, we can't compare USB to LSB until after USB is
set (LSB will be OK, but you'll have nothing against which to compare until
AFTER you've finished alignment). A Spectrogram display of the 500 and 600
Hz tones at the appropriate spots on the display has worked for tone-deaf
me, many times.
