[Elecraft] A suitable linear

Fellows,

Let me open a new subject.

I've been thinking about getting a linear for the K2/100.

In keeping with my goal of getting rid of boatanchors around here, the new 
amplifier should be modern and light weight.

I use a switching power supply with the K2/100 and it seems to me logical 
that the new linear amplifier should also have a switching power supply, 
the single heaviest part of an amp.  I don't know of any on the 
market.  While we're on the subject it would be nice to have the power 
supply external to the amp so it could sit on the floor or a shelf (if it 
had meters as my Astron SS-25 does) so that power could be monitored and 
the amp itself should be small sitting on the table & hopefully not too 
much bigger than the K2/100

Actually, Alpha builds a no tune amp that could sit on the shelf, but it is 
VERY expensive.

Any ideas?
