If you install the volume control modificaton, you will then have a fixed
level point to tap for your output. An emitter follower for isolation
would be a good idea too.
If you install either the KAF2 audio filter or the KDSP2 DSP filter,
the takeoff point will be after the filters. Therefore, whatever comes
out your audio port will be determined by the filters.

Subject: [Elecraft] K2 Audio Out Question
On my TenTec Omni V there's a jack on the back for audio out - which is a
fixed output of the receive audio. I know that the K2 doesn't have this
feature - and I wonder if it's do-able, since it's a feature I use quite a
bit. I like to run the audio to my computer AND have separate
speaker/headphone at the same time. And I like the idea of a fixed audio
output. Any suggestions? Anybody try this?
I have yet to build a K2 (got a K1 under my belt) and the K2 is my next
project. It better be, as I just sold my Omni V and that leaves me with the
K1 as my only rig!
