What seems to work for me is a "bundle" of cp wires, 1/4 wavelength for
each band.  Never fanned out the ends, as it seems that the system
recognizes the correct 1/4 wavelength.

No rf in the shack, respectable SWR, and, I even make contacts.

Of course by now the cats have learned NOT to play with the end of the CP
wires.
